A snowbird shows photos from southwest Florida (Naples) and southwest Connecticut (Ridgefield) and New England and other places he goes.
They sure know how to name them in Redding, don't they?
That is a fine old building, and a great photo.
What a gorgeous old place - and yes, delightful names.
It's wonderful, Jack!
I find it strange that the wood is all bare. Only a few types of wood can withstand weather and critters without paint...so that's one thought. And the other option would be to treat the wood with more modern chemicals that would also protect it. There may be other ways to keep bare wood healthy, but I'm not aware of them. Chestnut, redwood or maybe a few other hardy woods...but not as easily obtained. Anyway I do like the names of the streets too!
What a beauty!
A wonderful house.
Ha. Excitement all over the place in the names!Kind of reassuring, actually.
Great names for roads. I used to live in Nutters Close. It's true!
