There's a lot to be said for lingering...and then lingering some more. This is one truly spectacular shot!

on the news they recently explained why this color occurs during sunset. but i forgot. something to do with the temperature and perhaps the amount of water in the air. grrr. i forgot!!

Wonderful intense colors. Love the sweep of the clouds too.

Aha! That wonderful moment when the sun sinks down to the horizon and briefly illuminates the underside of the clouds.
And wonderfully captured by your good self.

It's all about the timing Jack. I chased the sunset yesterday and had I not gotten behind a biker, I would have caught it. Another day. This is flat out gorgeous.

Isn't there a proverb that say "all things come to those who wait?" Not necessarily a good thing, but this time it worked for you.

I always love a sunset. Yours turn out so beautifully. I think you must have different skies. ;-)

What amazing colour. Great shot - one to print and frame, I think.

The best sunset shots are usually long after the sun actually sets. Nice one, Jack!
