State Library and Courthouse

Another night photograph.  The building houses the State Library.
The Connecticut Supreme Court holds its sessions in a room at the front right.

I really think that american architecture is wonderful . Every public building is a real marvel and is very both impressive and inviting ; What a pleasure it must be to read books in such a place !

It would be fun to watch an oral argument in the Supreme court.

Like this building shot. The evening light makes this work.

This must be early evening. Our nights are darker than this. Impressive library and courthouse.

The building is gorgeous!
Also a beautiful evening light, blue hour? Or later with a bit overexposure?

This hardly looks like a night shot. I love those stately buildings. :)

That's an impressive entrance. Not too much thought about disabled access in the days when this was built though.

The light is nicely balanced here. It looks like it would be an impressive building inside.

Lovely classical architecture. I'm surprised the Supreme Court doesn't have its own building. Our's has its own even in backwoods Jefferson City.
