Buttonwood Farms operates an ice cream stand in Griswold, Connecticut,
in the eastern part of the state, on the way to Rhode Island. They raise
sunflowers, which they sell in July to support a children's charity.
I missed the festival this year, but not the sunflowers.

I'm always amazed when I see a field of sunflowers and you have captured that amazement in your photo. PS: They remind of a movie I saw when I was kid. The Day of the Triffids.
Adorable images, the sunflowers field is spectacular and you captured beautiful lights as well!

Great photo-op.
Did you know that the sunflower is the state flower of Kansas and the national flower of the Ukraine? Thought you'd like to know this bit of vital information. Sometimes considered a weed, I love its sunny appearance. I wonder what product is made from this farm's yield and what charity they support?
The field is a match for the sky.
These are so beautiful!
Nothing prettier than a field of cheerful sunflowers!
I would love to find a field like this.
What a great place to take photos and to put a smile on your face.
Just beautiful!
So beautiful and the perfect food for smiles -- lots of them!! Wonderful captures, Jack! Enjoy your day!!
Sunflowers are beautiful and you caught them perfectly!
Sunflowers are the cheeriest summer flowers..a whole field of them is fabulous! Well captured Jack.
I missed the sunflowers this year too. I usually get up there a number of times a year for the ice cream!
Sunflowers are my preferred flowers (symbolic at least).
Very well captured Jack!
Anytime I have tried to grow these the slugs and snails eat them so I really appreciate seeing a beautiful field like that!
Fantastic! They always make me smile!
Gorgeous display, Jack! I'm glad you didn't miss these sunflowers too.
Is there anything more beautiful that a mass of sunflowers? Gorgeous and so summery!
I've always liked sunflowers.
These seem like the consummate summer flowers. Though I've seen them sold in our area, I haven't seen a lot of them flourishing in gardens. Maybe it's not warm enough? My attempt to grow some in our claycrete soil would have been a great embarrassment if they'd gotten large enough to wither and fail but they didn't even make it that far.
Really classic shots!!
