This is rather incredible monument and tribute. I think feelings ran high in Connecticut!
But it's never over. When I joined the Navy (in the 50s) there were sons of the South in boot camp that were still fighting the Civil War! As people do yet today!

I do believe that 'war' still goes on. Do they really think it'll RISE again?
What a beautiful monument and such a superb capture against those lovely blue skies, Jack.
I love the workmanship of the monument.
Wonderful shot, Jack!
Great point of view, along with that bright blue sky the intricate details really stand out.
A very beautiful monument with splendid details, and well maintained !
How beautiful!
That is quite an elaborate memorial!
Quite a memorial. I do wish Lowell and Birdman weren't right.
It's a lovely monument to a horrible time.
Now that's odd: royal. It was the Battle Hymn of the Republic, The United and Confederate States.
What a feast for the eyes.
