Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver



This Civil War-era pistol was named for the Texas Navy.  It bears designs honoring Texas Rangers.  If you click on the photo below, you can learn more about it.

When I was in the Navy we used a .45 pistol. Times changed. Wonder what they use now.

I didn't realize the Texas rangers were the first to use Colt. The things one learns from blogging! You took some good ones, even under glass.
