This mural is one of a pair on a wall across from the police station in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, 90 minutes northwest of Hartford. It honors motorcycle police officers. The mural was painted in 1998 by William F. Blake and Jay Tobin, directed by Daniel M. O'Connell of the Berkshire Artisans.

Wow! This is an eye catching mural of a time gone by.
Well-educated image at an appropriate spot.
How neat ... I bet it makes the policemen in that station smile when they glimpse it each day.
Never was a mural in a more appropriate spot Jack :)
What a fine mural showing that wonderful 1930s Harley V-twin. It was probably the fastest machine on the road in it's day, and I'd love to have one now. How classy.
For being painted in 1998, it looks like a motorcycle from the 1960s or earlier.
A really attractive mural that is a nice way to honor the motorcycle police.
I hope the paint holds up to the weather.
Great way to honor those who risk so much.
Very beautiful! and a useful reminder of a great job, and great men..
I like it. He seems to take his job quite seriously!
Nice looking mural!
Good one Jack! It looks like it is fading a bit but that just adds to the whole retro effect of the image.
A very good one and perfectly placed on the brickwork. Here most of our writers can't go beyond 'f***k the police'!
Such clean lines and a great bit of artwork.
Very cool. I agree with VP. I don't think you'd ever see anything like it in France.
I love the colours in this shot.
An excellent mural!
((sigh)) I have an old black and white photo of my dad when he was a motorcycle cop, on his Harley, parked in a line of cops waiting to shake Harry Truman's hand as Truman worked his way along the line. There's a bit of history!
He looks a lot friendlier and happier than the one that gave me a ticket for not wearing my seat belt
No helmet, no windshield. Times change.
unfortunately, due to my very bad planning, i didnt meet kay when we drove through sequim. so stupid! but i have been twice to places in the usa where i thought to only come once, so who knows... :)
Very nice mural and it has captured and memorialized a moment in time. I do remember those old Harleys. Vaguely.
It's a beautiful mural!
