Peaceable Street

This house has a mysterious past.  A couple built it but rarely lived in it, then quietly left town for Europe.  Their daughter lived here alone with her cats and dogs before also quietly leaving town with the cats and dogs left inside to destroy the place.  It stood empty, smelly and deteriorating for years.

Fortunately, subsequent owners have restored it to its gleaming condition today.  It is on Peaceable Street, at the intersection with High Ridge Avenue.  Doesn't "Peaceable Street" bring calming thoughts to mind?

Not very kind to her pets, Jack.

What an awful history for such a lovely house. I guess it's common knowledge.

This Neo-Colonial house does have a strange history. Good thing the later owners brought it back to its original glory. Lovely photo. It would be great to live on Peaceable Street.

An unusual past.

Unusual, so the owners came back at some time to sell it?
