Double H Farm

An 87 acre horse farm in the northern end of Ridgefield is selling for $24 million.  A huge price, yes, but less than half of the original $55 million asking price.  HH Farm was owned by the late Hunter Harrison, CEO of railroad company CSX.  When he died in 2017, Harrison was Chairman of the Board of The National Horse Show Association of America.

The property features three residences, including a 12,000-square-foot residence built in 2009 and a more modest residence dating from the 18th century.

The farm has stables that can accommodate 43 horses. Equestrian sports are a main focus of the property, which also includes a 3.5-acre Grand Prix show jumping ring and an indoor ring.

I do not think I will be putting a bid in on this farm. I'm more interested in polo ponies than show jumpers. Beside, the house is way too large.
