A snowbird shows photos from southwest Florida (Naples) and southwest Connecticut (Ridgefield) and New England and other places he goes.
A 1713 farmhouse, one of the first in Ridgefield, was converted to a tavern in 1772 by Timothy Keeler. It was a headquarters for patriots during the Battle of Ridgefield.
A British cannonball hit the side of the tavern. It is still there.
It has survived the years very well.
Beautiful building, and well made if the cannon ball just stuck itself into the wall!
Wow, what an historic building with an interesting history.
that's a really beautiful house, n ice that the cannonball hole is still there, it shows the history.
