Elsa

We caught the east side of Elsa.  She was a strong tropical storm, but short of a hurricane.  She passed through on Friday from about 8 a.m. through 4 p.m..  I stayed inside the rented house during the heavy rain and wind, so I couldn't find anything to illustrate the storm.

After the storm passed but while strong winds still blew, I went out on the deck and watched several ospreys fight their way into the wind.  The camera with the bigger lens was in the car, but this image with my "landscape/people/moderate telephoto" lens showed both the struggling bird and the whitecaps.

It is a lifetime experience, and you never know how strong a storm is going to be. This is a good example of its strength!

That is a terrific shot.

Glad you weren't on the "dirty side." Looks hard enough for the bird as it is.

Good to hear that storm was not too serious. The Osprey looks to be struggling to make any headway.
