Silly me: I wear this Fitbit to encourage me to get out and walk. It counts my steps. I aim
for at least 10,000 steps (five miles) a day.
Lady walking dog: That is great. I am running the Hartford Marathon this weekend. It will be my
40th marathon since 2002.
Silly me: Oh.

Well, that certainly was a conversational stopper. No photo of the "fit female?"
I tried the Fitbit for awhile. It was a waste of time. And a pain in the wrist!
Love both of the above comments :) Walking 10000steps a day is all that's needed Jack, excess is never a good thing :)
My brother wears a Fitbit. Each time I see him, he shows me how restless his sleep was the previous night. And this I need to know? I'll pass one one of those. Nice watch though...
I'm laughing at your conversation. Most of my friends all wear a Fitbit and they compete with each other.
Thanks for the laughs to start my day/weekend, Jack!! I hope you have a great one!! Enjoy!!
Funny post and comments! :-)
A funny encounter, Jack!
Our Jays are in a bad place now but maybe they can come back and get the bats going like they have been all summer.
Oh boy!
That takes dedication.
How many steps did you average per day while in Paris?
Haha, take comfort that by the time she's 'mature' she'll probably have ruined all her joints. At least walking doesn't do any harm. And 10000 steps is many more than most folks manage. I haven't got a Fitbit but I'm tempted. I'd love to challenge myself.
10,000 steps sound a long way to me Jack. Perhaps I should buy a fitbit and then I'll know exactly how many steps I walk in a day.
My iPhone keeps that information. I almost never look at it. Only because my son asked I found that we traipsed about 10,000 steps around Chicago today. Maybe I'll sleep better.
10 000 steps sound like a lot of steps to me!
40 marathons. Stratospheric!
Good for you, Jack! I admire people who run marathons but I'd rather walk. It's easier to take photos when walking. ;))
Yep. Conversation stopper.
I have found myself into something like this...
ahahahahahahaha! Maybe the next 5k has your name on it?
