Most of the people at the Wadsworth Atheneum were visiting the recently renovated and re-opened
galleries, featuring paintings from the museum's European collection.
But, while there, I visited Avery Court, which shows modern paintings like Dali and Kirchner.
Other than moving some paintings around, Avery Court is little changed.

Such a clean space and a great angle you took this picture in.

Talk about highly polished floors! Looks like you could skate on them; I'd be tempted to take off my shoes and do some sock-sliding. Very interesting reflections because of that polish.
Looks like the gentleman is walking on glass. His movement is offset nicely by the sculpture set in stone! (or marble)...
What a wonderful open space for enjoy art!
I love this shot, Jack!
Beautiful!! And with floors like that one would never need a mirror!! Terrific capture!! It does indeed look as though the gentleman is walking on glass!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Jack!! Enjoy!
Jack, you do get around. Fine atmosphere in your photo. Fine, creative perspective here.
Hi Jack! I really like this photo.
I also enjoyed looking at your French photos from earlier this week. I've only eaten in one restaurant in Rouen and I think it was the one in your photo. (La Couronne?)
That statue really stands out well, Jack!
Ah... speaking of ice! Watch the Bruins get their arses kicked last night? Brutal TV!
lovely reflection from a great point of view...
and as a reply to the above comment "Go Jets Go"!!!
Great composition! Everything about it is terrific from the balance of the living figures against the sculpture to the lines, color, and contrast of the polished floor to the flat tones of the walls. Bravo!
WOW! Fantastic reflections. Havve a wonderful weekend.
A wonderful image!
What a wonderful photo with lovely reflection.
The Wadsworth is a beautiful space Jack, wonderful reflections in the highly polished floor.
Love this perspective and the reflections on the floor. Well done, Jack!
It's good for photographers to get down on the floor/ground from time to time.
Neat reflection! Were you laying flat on the floor to make this photo?
