Squirrel and Bark

I am a snob.  I hardly ever photograph squirrels or pigeons.  Too common.

I wanted to photograph the trunk of this tree because of its gorgeous bark patterns.  But, the trunk alone lacked scale, context and interest.  So, when a squirrel appeared, I made an exception.

Thank you Mr. Squirrel, for doing what was needed for this lovely bark.

He's looking just a tiny bit wary of you.
