Monday Night Jazz

Paul Brown Monday Night Jazz has presented free summer jazz concerts in Hartford's Bushnell
Park for 50 years.  It is the country's oldest free and continuously presented jazz concert series.

On Monday, the opening act was Sincopa, with Nelson Bello on conga, Idalberto Perdomo
on drums, Kris Jenson on Sax, Edilio Bermudez on bass and David Goya Gonzalez on piano.

The theme for August for City Daily Photo bloggers is "Music."  Click here for more interpretations.

A great setting for great music. We have a jazz festival here in June, one of the several music festivals we have all summer long.

That looks like so much fun!

51 years is a good record. Listening to good jazz in a park must be pure pleasure.

Obviously it is a long-lasting, successful tradition that also looks like it is greatly appreciated.
