A Collection of Photos that Didn't Fit Elsewhere

A few steps outside Grand Central Station in Manhattan.

From a recent visit to the new wing of the New Britain Museum of American Art.

The east side of Providence has some great old houses.

The Somerset on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue has been converted from hotel to condos.
Great details in the arch.

I liked his helmet.

A fine old house in Georgetown, Massachusetts.

The artist was probably thinking about the fight against breast cancer.
Part of "Heaven," a skateboard park at the edge of Hartford's downtown.

I particularly like those fine old houses, Jack. The East side of Providence sounds like it ought to be the title of a novel!

Nice selection Jack and they fit good right on this blog. I love the portrait of the worker with his unique helmet, very nice indeed!

Each photo deserves attention and comments of their own; very interesting and eclectic collection! I want to live in the house in the third photo because I could have a room of my own in the square cupola. What a delightful place to write and to read. PS. I had to laugh at your comments in "dialogue" form on my post on our train trip to Seattle.

What a great group of shots. I love those flags on the light pole and that art museum shot is super! What fantastic shadows. The doorway to The Somerset is most appealing!

This is a fine collection of photos. One thing they all share is an excellent sense of composition. Jack, you have a great eye. Love the Romanesque arched doorway to the condo building. How elegant.

Such a diverse selection of photos. Though I like the colors in the mural, I'm not so fond of the subject.

May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to your home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.

I think I want to live in the Somerset. What an entry. As to the mural, I think the artist was just thinking of breasts. haha. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

Great collection of miscellaneous shots. I love the arch and those doors at the Somerset. Amazing. And the museum shot is very fine. Yeah, the helmet guy, too.
