The Old State House Has Closed

The State of Connecticut is broke.  Looking everywhere to find ways to cut spending, the State has decided to close the Old State House to the public indefinitely.

Cities and towns are broke, too.  Yesterday Hartford and East Hartford announced
that there will be no fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July.

That is bad news. It boggles my mind when governments go bankrupt.

Very sad indeed. I hope they re-open the Old State House. I haven't had a chance to see it yet.

Very bad news. Too much over spending but I image the officials have another reason.

Perhaps the State and towns were heavily invested in British Pounds? Sorry to hear there will be no fireworks.

That's sad...and it's becoming too common these days.
