I was thinking about the tile patterns in front of Hartford City Hall for the "looking down" theme for City Daily Photo bloggers on July 1. A young man ran through the scene and yelled "sorry."
I liked the scene better with him in it than the scene without him.
But, I'm not going to use it on July 1. I'll keep looking.

Very good-looking tiles that are uniform enough for a games of giant checkers or chess.
I like it with that young man running too! I wonder where he was headed in such a hurry.
Kate is right, you could play checkers or chess with these tiles. I do like the man running through your photo, sorry :)
Those patterns certainly do catch your eye.
He really adds something to this shot, Jack!
I agree with everyone, I enjoy seeing this young man dash through your shot.
I like the serendipity of your runner...and the tiles...and the fountain.
