Yes, definitely a no-nonsense woman. I would like to see what she does with the Santa Fe "earth." Painters there too often fall into the "Santa Fe style" and lack originality. But, when I watch just about any artist, I am humbled by their eye and talents.

she looks like she's been busy creating!
Surely that can't be right: Paint and clay? Naples and Montana? What a woman! Looks strong and determined. I surely won't argue with Shirley!
It looks to me like she has a pretty darn good contemporary eye!
Beautiful!
Interesting. "influenced by the earth" Wonder what that means.?! Oh well, my day progresses.
She does indeed look like a busy, creative lady! Another great one for the day, Jack! Have a wonderful day! Enjoy!!
I like that piece behind her on the wall, Jack!
She looks like a no-nonsense gal!
Excellent portrait. You seem to have caught her in the midst of work.
She looks anxious to get back to what she was doing. Glad she posed for you though!
Interesting mix of mediums.
I like her mixed media. But I can't get past feeling that she's about to scold you for taking too much time on her portrait.
I like the limited palette of colours you've got here; the artist and the art merge quite beautifully. Very effective.

I'm wondering why she has her hands on her hips. Was she daring you to take that photo as in "Make my day!"?
Shirley you are fabulous!
she looks very serious!
