Bone's Rest

Some of the old cottages in Naples survive.
Some are modest, some are grand.  Bone's Rest is one of the grand cottages,
two blocks from the beach and one block from restaurants and shopping.

You can have it for only $4 million.

From time to time I will show some of the prettiest cottages.

This post is linked to Ruby Tuesday.

Beautiful! To me it's a house.

An absolute bargain! That money would only buy you a shoe box apartment in London.

Only $4 mil? Naples has always been a bit pricey but very nicey, too. This is very nice! I just wouldn't want to have to keep up the property and pay the taxes. You could do that, though.

I afraid that $4mil is a bit beyond my price range. Quite a bit actually. Still a lovely structure. Looking forward to seeing more.

I've always smiled at the interpretation of "cottage." To me, they are always small, cozy structures, but obviously that is not shared by everyone. Some of the coolest cottages I've seen are those in Anna Maria Island. I LOVE that little village!

That's a private residence? Looks like it would make a delightful B & B. Love that backyard with the uncovered pool, gazebo and lush vegetation. When will you be placing a bid on Bone's Rest?

For this price, I hope there's someone to wash the 4 millions windows! :o)

I thought it was a restaurant!! Not exactly my idea of a "cozy cottage", but then what to I know??? It is colorful! I not only wouldn't want to have to wash the windows, I wouldn't want to have to pay someone else to wash them!!! BUT -- what terrific photos for the day!! You do find great ones, Jack!! Hope your week is off to a flying/picture taking start!!

Cottages to me were small places but this seems to be a larger cottage.

Comfortable looking cottage, but at that price one could have the servants wash the windows and maintain the grounds. Looking forward to seeing other local cottages on your blog

It's surprising how little $4 million can buy you here. I love this place.

It might be nice to have enough to consider a house like this just a bitty "cottage."

I'll take it!

That rates as a cottage? It's beautiful.

Oh, I would love to take a look inside. Perhaps you can arrange that with your camera, having them believe you are seriously interested.

The windows are a charming feature of this "cottage."

Mm, not so keen on that one. As Sylvia comments, it looks more like a restaurant. I wonder if they get people showing up to be fed?
