He doesn't sound retired to me. He looks like a nice, intelligent person. A lot of principals are not that way. In fact, working with flowers would be a good pursuit for some principals I suffered under - they were bloomin' idiots!
I tend to agree with Lowell where principals are concerned, but this one surely doesn't look like one of those!!! And what terrific sunglasses! A great reflection for the day!!! Hope you have a super weekend, Jack!!
Good catch, though those reflecting lenses remind me of cops who wear them so you can't see their eyes. Subtle effort at gaining the upper hand. Something a high school principal might use in his bag of tricks, too. Sometimes these occupations aren't all that different, regrettably.

That is one of the better photographed reflections I have seen in a long time. Well done Jack!
Those are some sharp, reflecting sunglasses!
awesome reflections! i bet he enjoys his new job a little more than being a high school principal!
A worthwhile retirement pursuit.
Botanical Gardens rely on dedicated volunteers like Mike.
Cool reflection in the glasses Jack.

I'm sure that when he was a principal, pupils used to call him "Hawkeye" ! :o)

A high school principal? Not good memories of mine, but I like the perfect reflection in his glasses.
GREAT reflection catch!
Love the reflection of the listeners in the sun glasses of the speaker - great job!
That's quite a crowd you've captured there Jack :) nice one!
And Mike's sunglasses are awesome ! They look a bit like Robocop shades... ^^
There I go again reading about Mike and wondering where the reflection was until I looked up and saw those magnificent reflections on his sunglasses.
He's gathered quite a crowd for his tour - must be good.
Fantastic reflections in those glasses, Jack.

I'd love to retire and do just that. Nice reflections!
An excellent portrait!
A very clear reflection. So there is life after teaching - I can't wait!
You captured a really nice reflection in his glasses.
Are you kidding? I love the reflection and the blue skies you share with the left coast.
Seems like this is a great job for a former school principal who loved flowers!
I love the reflections.
Nice reflection shot Jack. I'll bet Mike finds life at the jardin botanique much calmer than high school!
