About a month ago I posted a photo of the Union League Cafe in New Haven that I took last fall. Two weeks ago I went back to the restaurant. While waiting for friends to arrive, I wondered how it would look if I shot through a couple of glasses. iPhone again.

Two Restaurants
About a month ago I posted a photo of the Union League Cafe in New Haven that I took last fall. Two weeks ago I went back to the restaurant. While waiting for friends to arrive, I wondered how it would look if I shot through a couple of glasses. iPhone again.

These are great photos, Jack. They look like fine restaurants. I hope the food was as good as the photos. I'll be adding these two restaurants to my list of places to try when my wife and I want a nice dinner out.
I'm jealous of your choice of good restaurants. One drawback of small town living is a lack of fine dining. Your shot through the glasses is excellent.
We too particapate in Restaurant Week here. Always a fun time. Love the glasses.
I like the picture through glasses!
ANd the mood of the two places seems cosy and inviting.
I'm really impressed with the quality of the iPhone images Jack, although it's still the person clicking that takes the excellent shot, j'adore your vision through the glasses :)
pretty murals and love the glass shot!
Great shots Jack!
I like through the glass shots, except our glasses are seldom empty.
Excellent. Looks like a fine restaurant. Love all wood and tablecloths and cloth napkins. Down in these parts, we get paper plates and lots of paper napkins so's we kin wipe ourselfs after we get all messy eatin' them good ol' ribs.
Good job on that iPhone photo, too.
I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. And the price sounds good too.
Terrific looking restaurants, Jack, and you captures are wonderful as always. I do love the detail! I'd say your iphone and you did a great job!
Love your shot through the glasses, Jack. We have similar restaurant events here in summer and then again in winter - 'Summerlicious' & 'Winterlicious'.
Great job on that iPhone photo. Very creative. Enjoy Taste of Hartford. That sounds like a very good deal!
Restaurant weeks are always a good way to experiment. Also good to experiment with different photo techniques.
I love good restaurants and your shots are great (as usual). The iPhone shot is for me the best!
Love both places, but that can't be Italy: there are no scooters in sight. The creative photo through the glass deserves a separate bravo!
The glasses shot is brilliant!
The mural is beautiful and fits on that wall very well.
Your iPhone shot certainly doesn't disappoint. I am impressed. As you know, I have used mine a couple of times as has most everyone else :). Hope you had a nice meal!!! Lovely restaurant.
Oh, those are the kinds of places we love. The atmosphere and the food are usually both fantastic.
Both look tremendously appealing!
It looks like the home (kitchen) fires aren't getting an overly hard workout these days, always welcome when summer gets warm.
It looks like you're one of those who's smart enough to actually work a smart phone. Bravo! You did a nice job on the glasses.
Nice shots. I love restaurant week.
I like the murals, and I WANT those stained glass windows!
We have a similar thing that happens here in Toronto, but we get it twice a year: Summerlicious and Winterlicious. I have to admit, I never participated in either. But I think it's a great idea. And love the mural at this place too! It adds to the ambiance.
... And they look very nice, both of them.
The murals add a special warmth to the dining room. Its buildings with long shadows and streets without people remind me a little of de Chirico. Quite the find, Jack. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
haha, i like to shoot through glasses too... tim even more..
My favorite image is also the last one.
Nice details.
Love the windows too.
