Has Connecticut run out of leaders to memorialize? You have some recently retired or retiring politicians, such as Senators Weicker, Dodd and Lieberman. Or Sarah Palin would probably recommend whoever was the person who founded ESPN. After all, she named her daughter Bristol after the Connecticut town where ESPN is headquartered.
One looks like Lincoln and I suppose the other two might be Union and/or Confederate generals? Your astute company would certainly round out the collection of notables! You would definitely stand out!! Such an ornate building!
Haha....now really...would you WANT to be there for all to see for all of time? I bet the original guy there jumped down~ tired of scrutiny. And besides, your legs would feel like cement after a while;)
You are just so funny, Jack! When I read about the Capitol earlier this week, it did say that there was a vacancy on the building - hah! Why don't you see if they will hoist you up there to stand and we'll send Brattcat down to snap your photo! It would make a great post, n'est-ce pas?

Hopefully they will make a statue of you before they put you up there, haha!

Awesome details in this facade, those sculptures are beautiful!
I also love those arches with romantic lines.
The windows are adorable!

Have a great day****
There certainly is a spot for you! Have they asked you to pose yet?
You get a statue and a bench?? Well, you're definitely worth it! I hope they make you look good in statue. :)
Interesting. I do love the detail of the architecture. It's strange that they left an empty space. Maybe you can lobby to get up there!
Looks like a perfect fit to me, but hopefully not any time soon! Be aware if they come to take measurements!! Have a great day -- on the ground!

The detail work on that wall is wonderful! Can't wait to see your statue up there.
That's awesome, but more importantly, have you decided on what you will wear when you pose for your statue?

I daresay no one stole the statue like they do here in churches and chapels... It really is a beautiful building.
Surprised some crazy hasn't taken you up on this. Maybe the pigeons would drive then or 'you' away.
What will your pose be? Perhaps a hand on hip? Or a faux salute looking over yonder... Well, anyway, it's a really good looking building.
Will be anxious to see your next photo, including your statue : ) This is such a wonderful building.
I think I remember someone saying you had a hard enough head for it! :-) Nah, I'm just kidding. I mean, who would say such a thing?
The truth is I'm not sure the space is big enough! Heh, heh!
Lets make it in gold, just that you stand out.
You'd look good up there, Jack! But HOW would you get up there??
I wish I had some Dunkin' donuts right about now....
I almost missed this one and you know how much I love this building.
