Last night I went to the riverfront. The sun was setting over downtown Hartford and casting reflections of the skyline on the Connecticut River. This photo is straight from the camera, with no editing.

Yesterday I was asked why so many cities have a train station called Union Station. Google and I looked into that question. Union Station is one in which many different railroad lines share a single terminal. You can read about that here.

Wow! That is gorgeous!!!
Did you take this with your big camera? I've never been able to get good shots with my big brother, what's the secret? :)
That is one perfect shot, Jack.
Wow oh Wow!
beautiful colors
Very nice image indeed. You've found a great place to watch a sunset from. Have a blessed week-end.
Gorgeous!
A Beauty!
Jack, wonderful sunset color being reflected in the water. Great work.
This looks like the type of sunsets that we have in Phoenix, except we don't have a river to capture reflections.
What a great sunset. It's all about the clouds!
That's so funny that you looked up the name Union Station. I did the same thing. Blogging opens all kinds of educational doors.
Oh, Jack, this is awesome!! What a glorious way to end a day -- any day and your capture is superb! Incredible colors! Hope you have a great weekend!!
Fantastic colors. Looks more like Florida than Connecticut, though! Nicely done!
It's magical, Jack!
Beautiful Jack. Happy weekend.

Wow! I'm SO pleased you took that walk Jack ....stunning sunset capture.
That's truly breathtaking - not only the perfect colors of a warm sunset, but the shimmering reflections are bell ringers. I also like the standing figure on the near shore. Wow! Great shot!!
Straight out of the camera? A terrifying idea. But, unlike my habits, you did it right the first time. Beautiful work.
Great colors and skyline.
Isn't it grand when you can catch a scene like this without any photoshop or other such nonsense. Nature in the raw, so to speak!
Excellent shot... the colors are amazing.
Breathtaking! wonderful!
I hate sunset photos, but in this case I can only say: wonderful!
Magnificent! Great shot, Jack.
Stunning!
Beautiful scenery. I am in India for six months and it's monsoon season. Sadly,I'm not seeing many sunsets or sunrises!
