There are very few big birds in the dense forest around my house, and smaller songbirds move often and fast. They are hard to photograph. A male and a female house finch took pity on me and posed.
I planted milkweed last year. Some clumps have come up nicely this spring.
There is an old farmhouse across the street.

Good photos of the House Finches. They are fun birds to watch, and yes, they are quick and move often.
