Red-tailed hawk

A young red-tailed hawk perched on the top of the perennial garden gazebo in Elizabeth Park.

I wanted to see it fly away but there was thunder and lightning on the horizon,
so I had to leave that for another day.

Fine photo of this beautiful hawk. It seems to be standing in an unusual way. Hope it is not injured in any way. Understand why you had to leave. Thunder and lightening is never safe.

I have never seen a bird 'sit' like that
