Latesha

Latesha is assistant principal of a Hartford neighborhood school.  She has p-e-r-s-o-n-a-l-i-t-y!

Latesha taught in the classroom for five years and has been in administration for the last ten years.
I met her at the Pond House in Elizabeth Park, where she was greeting attendees
of a year-end function for Hartford public school principals.

Million dollar smile with sparkling eyes! So happy that you featured a public school administrator because too frequently I read negative comments about public education and the wonderful but too often maligned people who serve the public by loving and teaching their children. I wish that the critics and politicians who do not appreciate the hard work of educators would spend one week, nay one day, in a classroom. I believe that their tune would change after the experience. Working without community support (at times), inadequate supplies, and social problems that children often bring to school with them would be an eye-opener for critics. Parental and political support and proper resources are essential for a good, productive educational environment. Support educators, folks!! (Now, do you want to know how I REALLY feel?!)

Her personality shows through her smile, Jack!
We actually have 3 universities in the city and U of T has 2 campuses. The downtown one that I show is the biggest and it is huge!
