Gibson was born near Victoria Falls, close to the border shared by Zimbabwe and Zambia.
He has been guiding game drives in South Africa for nine years.
Most game sightings are made visually, sometimes with the aid of radio alerts
shared among the guides working the same preserve.

But, sometimes Gibson studies paw prints (and dung) to see which animals have passed recently.

That last shot is so good. Love the light and atmosphere in all of these. You can really sense the difference in location.

Great shots as always Jack!
Cool shot with Gibson's reflection !
All three photos tell a wonderful story of your safari and cheerful, talented guide.
It sounds like you had a great guide to take you on this adventure. I loved the zebras yesterday too. They are such beautiful animals.
Oh, you are having so much fun, Jack, and I'm so happy for you and envious at the same time!! Love your photos as always and what a great guide!! Enjoy your weekend -- camera in hand, of course!!
Nice portrait of this guy! He looks like a nice one!
Fantastic reflection of Gibson in the wing mirror
Terrific shots- particularly that last one. A strong portrait.
Those guides must build up such a lot of skill, like a sixth sense. He looks like a good guy.
That last shot it a great portrait of Gibson.
Love the portrait.
I'm partial to the first shot -- showing Gibson in action behind the wheel. I bet it's interesting watching how they track the big game.
When I think of the twenty years I spent in Zimbabwe and Zambia I get fuzzy warm memories :) I miss the Gibson's of Africa!
great shots...lovely mirror reflection
