Streets of Napoli

The hiking trip and the small ship cruise are over.  Back in Napoli for the night
before catching flights back to the US of A.  This time the hotel is in central Napoli,
where graffiti covers everything, trash removal seems non-existent,
but crowds roam the streets and the vitality and people watching are superb.

I watched a travel show that started in Naples and saw scenes very much like these in that show.

I'm saddened to see so much graffiti there!

Sort of like so many of US cities in the 70's - 80's. Again, thank you so much Jack for sharing these with us.

You captured perfectly the 'spirit' of this city and of most of Italy...

Brilliant series of shots Jack, nitty gritty and all! Talk about people watching, I think the people in the first shot are Jack watching :)

Napoli... well observed, Jack :-)
We see these images every week on TV...
Nevertheless, Napoli is fascinating ...

A bit of money thrown into upkeep might help!

Italian painting seems to have deteriorated somewhat since Michelangelo's day!

It is sad to see that much graffiti.

That little Mini Cooper needs some love.

You caught some great expressions in the first shot. Despite the decline in the other shots you've still caught interesting scenes. Not ones I'd care to live with, but good captures nonetheless.

I like it.

Eye yi yi! So unfortunate they've allowed their city to deteriorate so much. Kudos for photographing it!

I was a passenger in a Volvo 740 here some twenty years ago. We got lost in the old town. The car was too big and it was tricky to find our way out again.

The scenes are very different from the ones you have posted these past few days!!
