You have focused our eyes expertly on the shapes and colors of your intended subjects. The larger aperture for a narrower depth of field would have also made your shutter speed super fast in the bright light of Florida.
Jack, your exercise is a great success. Fine control of depth of field. I'm jealous of the beautiful plants growing around you. I see whites and grays around here this time of year.
I'm too timid to use fully manual settings. Your exercise gives me impetus to practice. Plus, you made me look up "bokeh", a word I did not know. So thanks for the education. And thanks for the nice comment you left on my last post.

There are some really nice pictures here. It's nice seeing some flowers and the bokeh works well in complimenting the flowers. Nice work.
I'm dizzy with the splendor of your sharpness and blur! But I think you're getting the picture! :)
I like every one of these. I think you did very well indeed.
It made me smile and smile to see these beauties, and thank you for the doses of sun!
Very well! I always get these wrong: my focus is always on an almost invisible blade of grass in foreground!
Oh, you are getting SO good!! I love these beautiful flowers/colors with the soft background!! Perfect, Jack!! Have fun today!!
Tres, tres jolie Jack, j'adore the bougainvillea.
I think you did a marvelous job!

Nice exercises, Jack! :-)
Seriously, very nice photos!
I like bokeh in shots. Especially if the background is very simple. Great shots Jack.

A nice shot of summer for us poor suffering northerners, Jack!
You had a much better camera than mine! :o)
Well done, Jack! Beautiful colours!
Ditto Lowell. It's a treat to see so much color in the middle of winter.
A+. That first one has gorgeous composition and light shading.
These are great. Good job Jack.
You get an A+ and so glad that you are far away from the frigid cold!
