Entry

I found this interesting fence and gate down a side street in Immokalee.  A neighbor said
there is no meaning behind the elephants and lions.  The owners just like them.

This post is linked to City Daily Photo bloggers' theme day portal,
for which the February theme is "entry."

Whimsical is the first word that comes to my mind, Jack. ;)

It has an atmosphere about it that is very child like. A fun place.

What a lovely place and entrance, good choice for this theme day, Jack!

Well! That's not an entrance you see every day Jack, nice find! Grooooowl, the lions look a wee bit fierce don't they :)

The owners have very eclectic taste!

It is very interesting!

Very nice. Great post. This place looks like it might be more at home in Phoenix than Florida. And I'd be lion if I said anything else.

It would be unsettling to live here for me.

Jack, now why don't you just come out with it. It's your little weekend house, isn't it? :-)

World is what we make of it; Everyone has its own vision. Why not?..

It looks fun and welcoming, until one sees the private property sign, which I assume is a euphemism for keep out.

'Preciate your visiting my blog, Jack.

Looking at your fine images, from the vibrant colors of "Entry" to the evocative, mysterious "Misty Morning," it's clear you've found a great way to put your executive experience in your "rear view mirror."

That is quite a striking entrance. I would have stopped for a photograph too!

Simple doesn't work for them, but I admit that as a whole it is eye-catching!

Perfect photos for the theme. A bit of fantasy with the lion's gate.

It's definitely eye catching. I like it very much.

Well if you can't decorate your own home the way you like it, where can you?

Great ENTRY today Jack.

Whatever makes you happy is good! ;-)

I like the sense of whimsey but is the "Private Property" sign really necessary between the lions?

BTW, thanks for helping keep theme day alive. I appreciate it.

You can't miss that one.

That is quite unique. I really do like that mailbox!

Clearly a reflection of eclectic tastes.

Now that's quite the entry, very fancy!

PS: I guess I should say I am "perfecting" my German. I do already speak the language quite fluently, but I can't write. Since my husband's company offered some money for classes, I thought it would be a good idea. But it's like being back in school and very exhausting!

It is a 'must' to click on this to have a closer look! So much to see. Not exactly my taste but fantastic for our theme day, Jack.

Your home? No, I did not think so. I am not certain about the architectural style, but it is very eclectic!

But I don't like the simplicity of the colours! Such a wacky space deserves a riot of colours... these are so... harmonious! :)
