A snowbird shows photos from southwest Florida and southern New England and other places he goes.
Happy Days! Everyone knows that the greatest generation came from the 50s. :)
what a cool looking place! i don't remember mel's looking so shiny!
Great one Jack. Love diners.
The atmosphere inside should include table top juke box machines.
Nice one Jack! Bet it's a fun place.
That one surely brings back the memories!! How fun! Love your shots as always, Jack! Hope your week is going well!!
They don't make 'em like that any more.
Do Flo and Alice work there? ;)
This is new to me, looks nice, Jack!
It is so retro, Jack!
Very iconic - I hope the inside is as fun as the outside.
Very retro, Jack!
Mel's was an institution for many years in San Francisco. I wonder if these are related. The Florida Mel's are flashier...but I guess I'd expect that from Florida.Still like your experiments with angle shots.
Nice place! Greetings, RW & SK
Absolutely gorgeous!I love this door!Léia
Great icons of the past;we have one in downtown St. Paul which I should probably post again. This one is a bit more spiffy than ours; at least it looks that way from your photos. I wonder how many of these are still around in the US?
Makes me think of old movies , back to 50 ies!
so pretty!i want to go on another road trip in the US... to see stuff like this
