I tried golf many years ago and still wonder at its attraction to so many people. The greens and courses are always fantastic but...to each his own, I guess!
What a perfect shot Jack, the flowers are way better to look at than the grrrr! faces of golfers, oh hang on, is that just me when I attempt it haha! Such a 'warm, peaceful weekend' image!!
Yes, this is a beautifully composed photo. As to golf, I have found as I have gotten older, my patience on the course is more composed and therefore a more enjoyable sport.
Mark Twain said that golf was a good walk spoiled. (He might even have written that when he lived up your way.) This is a beautifully composed picture of a subject I just don't get. I mean, you could be reading a book and learning something, right?

Is that where you plaid with Seal's manager?..

The flowers in the foreground are lovely.
Yet these flowers render it so simple and elegant. Life golf... simple yet harder than hell to master.
Nice control on DOF!
Beautifully composed shot, Jack! Love the contrast to the blurred background.
Great shot Jack!

Does not sound too long if the blue tees are the longest. :)
Nice shot of the players on the green. I like the way you've composed this shot.
It looks like the golfers may be overlooking the beauty of the flowers.
I love how you are concentrating on the flowers in the foreground while the golfers in the background are concentrating on a difficult shot.
I really like how you got the focus of this picture...
Oh, I do love your composition and your clear focus on the flowers! Terrific capture of a lovely place, Jack! Hope you have a great day! Enjoy!

Nice shot! Your dof is excellent. I enjoy golfing although I haven't gone in a long time and would probably hold other players up!
I am with Kate I don't see the attraction. Especially when my manager comes in a bad mood after she's played a bad round of golf.
Wow. You really did it here. Fantastic.
Nicely done, Jack. I'll give you that. Maybe you've been taking lessons? :-)
And take some golf lessons! You don't want to be a boob! Heh, heh!
I love the way you framed this shot. They should buy it to hang in the club.
Don't really understand golf but I recognise a good photo when I see one - and this is great. Love the way you've used the DoF.
I don't know much about golf, but my knowledge concerning photography lets me say that your photo is superb!
wonderful!

Jack,
Grand POV/DOF shot. Most would have focused on the golfers, but you chose a more creative approach. Bravo.

Wonderful picture Jack!
I love how you framed the shot with the flowers.
Love this depth of field -- brilliant!
Re your handicap card: Lower than what? Be specific! :-)
A different golf shot, pun intended.
