Elizabeth Park hosted its regular Wednesday night concert, with
Steppin' Out, a six-piece band with a sax, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and a female singer. They mainly perform foot-stomping, body-swaying dance music of the '70s through the '90s. I'm going to show a bunch today. You can stop looking whenever you want.
Did I dance? Noooo. That would have made the camera shake.

you put us right there in the middle of the crowd.
This is a large crowd for a concert in a park. People of all generations seem to be having a good time. Music can be a "generation gapper," with people people enjoying different music based on what they listened to when they came of age. Your photos show a broader appeal of this music in the park experience.
Sounds like fun evening.
The appreciative crowd is quite large. This is one of the perks of summer: people of all ages getting together to enjoy outdoor activities: music, markets, art fairs, music...you name it. LOVE SUMMER! Love the diverse facial expressions on the people in your photos
These are nice and fun looking Jack!
There is a bit of ABBA resemblance in a couple of the blond shots.
Love peoples faces when they're dancing, what a huge crowd. Summer concerts ahh! Did you dance Jack??
I can hear it all now, thanks to your photos, Jack. What a great time for you to take them! Thanks!
"70ies to 90ies"?.. the best years to dance with !
Love that first photo. Those ladies are into it!
I love all your photos today, Jack! Everyone looks like they're having such a great time! The 70s to 90s were great dancing years to be sure and I most certainly did my share! Loved it! Thanks for the fun start to my day! Enjoy yours!

Such a big crowd for this event and everyone looks like they are having a wonderful time. It kind of make me think of the two years I spent working in Chicago where they had Movies in the Park at Grant park. I was always amazed at the number of people it drew and again, everyone having a great time.
I can't stop watching, Jack - crowd of happy people is always something to watch:)
Now this is a great coverage of the concert and the title is way too cool!
Nice job! I love the first photo especially, you can just see how each person feels the music.
Love your first shot of all the ladies grooving to the music!
But the question is: Jack, did you dance?
I bet this was wonderful, I don't mind that kind of crowd!
Excuses, excuses. Just get out there and shake it!
Nice photos of what looks like a good time. I'm not much of a dancer either, though!
Whoa...people really get in to their dance moves don't they?
I'd feel safer on your side of the camera I think:)
I would have liked to attend, taking pictures with you!
It's good to see people having fun!
I watched till the bitter end looking for myself, dancing the night away! Great great shots Jack.
Great shots! Looks like yours was alot of fun. I only took a few shot for fear of the rain.
What fun! Dancin' the night away and it looks like the evening was enjoyed by all ages, a colorful melange of dancers and swayers!

Really nice photos of the summertime festivities in Hartford. New Haven is not without its own too. Sure is hot, ain't it?????????????????
Sweet stuff!
Beautiful reportage of this nice event, Jack!
Amazing reportage, beautiful people there and pictures!

*** I want to dance as well! :)
Beautiful pics!
Looks like great fun. And reminds me of The Villages except in The Villages most of the folks are a bit older!
Great to see people enjoying themselves, all generations together. The more I see of your Elizabeth Park the more I think it serves the same purposes as Roberts Park in Saltaire - though you have better weather!
Everyone looks like their having a great time. Nice when a community can come together like this.
I love the shot of the guitarist. Your assignment next Wednesday should be "photographer involvement"! P.S. See my other comment about HDP & portraits!
beam me up, that looks like fun. My favorite is the second to last shot, he looks like a cool cat and someone that would be interesting to meet.
