The Connecticut Historical Society has an exhibition about The Making of Connecticut. Most objects were in cases and didn't photograph well. However, there was an exhibition of colorful artwork by an artist from Guyana, Stanwyck Cromwell, who now lives in Bloomfield. You will see some of his work soon.

Historical societies, museums, libraries.... all great places for the community to enjoy. The red car makes the photo "pop," but not quite like the fire-y oven does to your face!
Have a great weekend!
The red car makes this one for me.
I don't know about the artist, but the photographer here is certainly creative and clever!
Sounds like an interesting exhibit. I'll look forward to the artwork.
Wow, I agree sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing pieces of this exhibit.
Looks like you and I might be up to the same thing tomorrow Jack, I'm going to an art show as well, enjoy!!
Yep, I think I'll enjoy this, too, and look forward to seeing more. Great capture and love the car -- the perfect red touch -- like an exclamation point! Enjoy your weekend, Jack!!

Looking forward to seeing that art. You do a great job of getting around to all sorts of neat events. I'm jealous.
Sounds interesting. By the way you're title below made me laugh :) Also, I agree with you about traveling and tourists. After doing the trip I just did, I can see the benefit of a tour group where your luggage, connections, directions, etc. are all taken care of!
Glad you caught the car. Great composition. Love the poster on the left.
Nice shot Jack! Looking forward to the artwork.
Yes...the car is an interesting addition. An indoor art exhibit sounds perfect for a rainy day.
Nice composition and glad that you waited for that red car to get into position. How did you get that reflection in the stone wall?
I look forward to the art!
