The rock garden in Elizabeth Park is a peaceful, contemplative plot behind the perennial garden and adjacent to the annual garden. Most of the plants are foliage plants that show off a variety of greens.
The theme for July for City Daily Photo bloggers is The Color Green.

A beautiful peaceful photo. Green is such a calming colour. I love Brattcat's words which describes your photo so well.
The kind of place where I'd like to stroll, to read and to dream..
How I wish to stop here for a spell.
Brattcat's comment above is as poetic as the captions on her posts. Nice choice for the theme.
A beautiful and peaceful choice for this theme day! What a lovely spot.

A meandering path among lush, green foliage is the best. Very lovely!

It's a gorgeous garden! Jack, is that a bridge in the background (left) or is is an amazing trunk covered with some kind of hanging plant?
So many different shades of green, and I like the zigzag path too. Elizabeth Park is truly a gem of a place.
So lovely. Quite the contrast to our brown landscape.

Looks like a good place to sit and read a book.
These greens evoke such a peaceful feeling.
I've came back to this picture no less than 5 times, had to show my husband it too. There is something about it that just feels very peaceful. I'd like to create something like that in my yard, when I get a yard;-)
