Stanwyck Cromwell

Stanwyck Cromwell was born in Guyana but immigrated to Connecticut in 1970.  He earned art degrees from the University of Hartford and paints saturated portraits and scenes with a Caribbean influence.  The Connecticut Historical Society currently has an exhibition of Cromwell's works.  Today's photos are details taken from some of his paintings in the current exhibition.

I am so glad that photographs were allowed in the exhibit so we could see these marvelous paintings. I wonder how it feels to be so talented. Do you remember some of the prices?

The details and color are rich and reflect his heritage. The Saturday posters were definitely a tease for this art. Nice photos also!

I love the blocks of color in these. Thanks for showing!
Yes, you're right my photo shows the easy, flat part of the walk in the CT. I preferred the more strenous, but less crowded portions.

These are beautiful. At first I thought the first one looked like a multidimensional piece.
