UConn Health Center

The University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington is one of the three major hospitals in the Capitol Region, along with Hartford Hospital and St. Francis Hospital.

Hartford and St. Francis are private and UConn is state-funded.  Hartford and St. Francis are in urban neighborhoods and UConn is suburban.  They seem to have a fierce rivalry.

This is a modern and beautiful Hospital building!
I need to say that I'm impressed by the BLUE sky, I don't know more what is it! :)
Here the sky is always grey! :(

I like this shot with the sun on the building against that beautiful blue sky!

Interesting that hospitals have rivalries...We have something of the same thing here.

University hospitals are often the best places to go! I know Shands at the U of Florida in Gainesville has a great reputation.

Wow, what a huge hospital! Is this also a teaching hospital?

Looks vaguely like the prow of a supersize ship. Huuuge.

Btw, I know real men wear pink. But not the pink I was thinking of...

It's massive - you must need a skateboard to get around the corridors! I'm sure rivalry is no bad thing - it should drive up standards.

It does look massive. I'm generally not a huge fan of these modernists buildings, but this one doesn't seem so bad. In fact, I kind of like it.

This shot could've been taken from my backyard. Feels like home.
