A snowbird shows photos from southwest Florida and southern New England and other places he goes.
Yep. The Nutcracker is popular over here, too. Our niece danced as the Flower Princess in it a couple of weeks ago and the night of our engagement, I took my wife to see the Nutcracker!
It just doesn't seem like the holidays without a chance to see The Nutcracker! I try to go every year.I was in Washington DC for the past week and got a little taste of that east coast chill. It was very cold, but what a beautiful city to "chill out" in.
I'm taking my little girls to our local Nutcracker ballet production on Sunday. They're SO excited... and so am I!
Fantastic capture, I'm enchanted by so interesting stuffs inside the window! The sweet reflections are beautiful!*** I'm curious about the movie!Léia
Nice reflection and a beautiful window display.
Oh, yes indeedy, the Nutcracker is popular here too. :)
My youngest daughter danced with a ballet company for a number of years, so I always enjoy them and the Nutcracker was always a part of our Christmas holidays! Fun memories! Have a great weekend!Sylvia
Nice contrast between the strong building and the lovely dance costumes!
Very nice, I like the costumes. I'm not too much of a ballet fan though, I tend to fall asleep. Gimme opera any day.
I love the ballet, and the Nutcracker is an outstanding holiday feature. Both of my daughters danced (and one of my sisters) in the Nutcracker. I never tire of this classic or the Tchaivkovsky music.Nice shots, Jack!
Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite is quite popular in France too... Those costumes are magical, and I like the way you "dressed" them with the town reflection.
Some years ago one of our vice-principals decided one holiday season to take the 8th-graders to see a production of the Nutcracker. These were mostly low-income black kids.It didn't work out so well.Personally, I'd chose Natalie. :-)
Tchaikovsky is very popular in Poland, mainly his Swan Lake and piano concerts.Lovely post!
Great shot. We have some performances here but probably not as much as they did when I lived in Phoenix.
An excellent photo, I like the reflection of the car on the poster in the window. It looks as though the dancers are on the car.
I took my daughter to see it for a birthday with her best friend and my parents. I think she was ten. It was a surprise, as she didn't know where exactly where we were going or what we were going to do. It remains one of the fondest memories she had. It was in Northampton, Mass. not far from our home. Can't wait to have grandkids and take them!http://thepaganeye.blogspot.com/2010/12/weekend-reflections.html
nice dresses! i always dreamt of being in a ballet class when i was a child...theyre always a dreamy scene for me
superbe reflexion,bravo !
I like the juxtaposition of a business street with a fantasy window display. Well done!I like ballet but Nutcracker is pretty dull (I have to whisper that so I don't offend). The movie I was over and over on the trip to UK last October was Street Dance. Acting was done by amateurs, story was predictable, but the dancing (with the mix of street & ballet) was outstanding.
What a pretty picture!
