Miss Porter's

Miss Porter's is a private school for girls.  It is on Main Street in Farmington.  This was three weeks ago.  They might have pulled the dead flowers out by now.

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy is one famous Miss Porter's alumna.

Well then, must be a good school. The name itself is like something out of a children's book!

P.S.: no Christmas tree for me. It's always at my Mum's.

That's quite an alumna! I wonder if you've gotten any snow yet?

This school must have a good reputation with alumna like that mentioned. Beautiful place!

I couldn't think of a better name for a girl's boarding school in New England than Miss Porter's! Looks like a lovely place. I wonder if the students think so, though.

Re your question on Stone Creek...vertical white thing is a water fountain in Lake Reunion. Went out to golf this morning. It was 52. Then it dropped to 48 and started raining. The wind blew. We quit after five holes. Ugh!

Sounds very proper, a safe place to keep a lovely daughter away from boys - except under controlled circumstances. Just call me a cynic. (I attended a private girls' school...way back when.)

The grounds look very well kept.

Dead flowers or not, it is a striking building.

I just read your note that said you grew up in Danvers. Yes, it is a small world.
