Claire and John enjoyed an afternoon on a bench in Ballard Park. They were both widowed more than two decades ago. Claire's daughter fixed them up. They have been a couple for 14 years, though they like their independence and maintain separate houses.
Claire is a lively 90. She has always been interested in art and fashion. Her family and she lived in upstate New York but she now lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut, to be near her daughter and her family.
John is 93. He used to own a woodworking business, making custom furniture. He lives in Stamford. John and Claire connected over a shared interest in art. John has a considerable art collection and is busy selling it off. Claire and John both love to travel. They have a trip to Spain planned for the fall.
