Mockingbird

It is always hard photographing LBJs (little brown jobs) because they flit around so fast, but this mockingbird gave me a chance.

I was surprised to see one still here just last week. It is nice now but winter is coming soon.

Jack, you do wonderfully with your bird photography. This is another fine portrait. But who is this Mocking Bird mocking?

Looks quite focused.

Ha. I was so pleased many years ago to encounter 'lgb" from ornithologists...you know, the ones that are grey and in bushes. I actually had a little collection of scientific abbreviations, "jnd" being one of my favorites, Just noticeable difference. There were others, but they're not very acceptable, and most of them I've forgotten.
