Lisbon's National Coach Museum has a collection of the carriages used by Portuguese royalty over the centuries. They are stunning. These three were used in a triumphal procession orchestrated by King Joao in the 16th century to celebrate his fleet rounding the Cape of Good Hope.

These remind me of the posts that JM used to give us from Lisbon many years ago now. Beautiful, Jack.
These are stunning...and what a collection of carriages!
Beautiful pieces of artistic design. They remind me of the Queen's coaches at the Royal Mews in London.
These are quite ornate!
Gorgeous and very detailed.
Classy rides.
