This mural on Fort Myers' Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard appeared a few days after the election. I didn't think it was going to be popular, especially in that neighborhood.
Sure enough, last week the owner painted the wall white overnight. The original painter -- a tenant -- didn't have permission. In retaliation, the tenant painted the owner's car white.
He has been served with eviction papers and faces charges.

It's amazing what some foolish people get up to. And when I say "fools", to quote Jerome K Jerome, 'I mean people whose opinions differ from my own'.
Difficult times in the US now. But I can assure you that nothing bad happened in Sweden last Friday!
The tenant is just like Donald... unpredictable.
oh-oh!
More ugly situations in the world, especially in your world.
I agree with RedPat. An ugly situation.
Oh my, I bet more of this kind of thing will be happening.
I love Stefan's comment above.
Oh wow! It's too bad politics is getting so personal. :(
I love America, but have not always agreed with American policy. The less I say here is for the better. My personal rule is to make photo blogs as non-political as possible. It should be about photography. I did get a kick out of John's comment. Wonder how many know who Jerome K. Jerome is?
Lots of craziness now and unfortunately I expect it will continue.
And here you have preserved it for eternity!
oh dear. Do keep us posted on this story
What a buffoon.
The official seal of the US contains an eagle. Consistent with The Donald's style, the tenant has replaced the eagle with his candidate's portrait. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
The New York Times is reporting that #45 has the lowest approval rating recorded by Gallup at this point in a presidency in all the years they've been doing this polling (since Eisenhower). Seems to me if a president is going to make America great he could start by trying to unite us. Silly me. It really isn't about us, is it?
