Bonita Art Show: Paintings and Photography

The Bonita Springs National Art Show was held at Riverside Park.  Attendance was strong and lots of folks were carrying packages as they left.  Exhibitors must have been happy.

Bruce Howled exhibited terrific paintings of faces, dancers and other figures.

Robert Green showed some fine photographs, including (at the top left) a Southern plantation seen through a breathtaking tree canopy and (top center) a stunning sunset.

Excellent! Love the paintings. Did you manage to look without buying?

These are fun and I'm thinking most of these folks end up in Ocala at our art show which happens in October. Some of them won't let you take photos, though, and get very angry if you try. I've been yelled and at chased away, which I didn't think was nice at all.

I love Bruce's work. It has a magical look to it. And, of course Robert's work really appeals to the photographer in me. Very nice.

You are lucky: in a place like this I had a fairly similar experience to Lowell...

You meet so many people!

You do seem to be getting a lot of cooperation re taking portraits. It is always a concern that people taking pics of your artwork are doing it to steal ideas. It is something that happens very frequently these days where the pics are sent offshore & the work is copied. Sad.

THe question is: apart from taking wonderful photos, did you leave with a package?

In terms of setting and the crowds, I'm reminded of an art show here in the summer in one of our parks.

You had good luck getting the artists' portraits. They are often busy with customers and I don't want to interrupt a potential sale.

Nice artwork! I can see why people would be leaving with packages.
