Rose Arches
Three years ago today, the first post on this blog appeared. I showed a plot of roses in Elizabeth Park, the wonderful municipal park and garden two blocks from my West Hartford house. No one looked at it and, of course, no one commented. That was OK. I just needed something to do after I retired, which had happened six days earlier.
The blog is still here and these days far more people visit every day than I ever expected. Isn't that cool!
Thanks for visiting and for letting me know what you think.

What a very fitting image to celebrate your three year anniversary.. It's definitely been an interesting journey getting to know Hartford through your eyes and lens..looking forward to seeing much more. The rose arbour above is too gorgeous for words..
Beautiful way to celebrate! 3 years is a short time, but long on blogosphere. Books could be written about those adventures we live all together , above oceans and frontiers..
Happy anniversary from France, and long life to your beautiful blog!
Congratulations on your dedication and accomplishment. I've been to Hartford once on business nearly 30 years ago. Glad to have you show me around.

Happy Blogaversary, Jack!! I, too, was looking for something to do when I retired and I had lived in Mexico for a year and finally came back to the states to be nearer to my family and had no idea what I was going to do with all my time!!! That was seven years ago and I still love every minute!! Beautiful capture and I do love the roses, the colors and the arches! Terrific!
It's quite fitting that you started in Elizabeth Park, Jack! I so enjoy visiting Hartford (or Naples or Venice, etc) everyday and seeing what you have to show us! Congrats!
Beautiful! Rather prettier than the four walls of any office I can think of.
Congrats on three years! I enjoy your photos, travels, and occasional decorating advice.
Congratulations Jack! Better arches than McDonald's.
