Out of the Jurisdiction: Venice VI

Back to Venice for another window reflection.  Do you know the tale about the unicorn under the bridge?  Neither do I, but there should be one . . .

I took a snap of a unicorn sign at a horse farm years ago. It was placed at a very old bridge but I never looked under the bridge!

Hahaha, FAR better to let us each imagine our own story of the unicorn under the bridge!!

Oh, it's a complicated tale. . . the unicorn took a short ride in a gondola, looked up at the wrong time, got caught under the bridge, stopped water traffic, and the mess was resolved by a city official named Figaro who had been interrupted while enjoying a cannoli at an outdoor café. Cannoli leftovers were impaled on the newly-freed horn and the filling decorated its face. Or something like that. Famous folk tale. ;-)

Love Kay's tale, haha:) And love the details on that mythical head, those are fabulous only-in-Venice reflections!

Ah ! So pretty Jack ..... delightful capture.

If there is any city worthy of a unicorn under the bridge story, Venice is it, if unicorns can swim, or the canals are shallow.

I thought I'd better leave the rest of the story up to individual imaginations. Sometimes it is better that way.
I mix compost from the dairy and some potting soil--mix it up and plant away. but you are right they do need a lot of water. MB

Great reflection of the bridge and the whole effect has the dreamy look of Venice. Very nice.

You could hand out give-aways for the best unicorn story.
Fun reflection.

Kay is so clever! If I was't so tired I'd give it a whirl, but running around Santa Fe is exhausting.

I missed a couple days are are trying to catch up.

As a middle schooler, my son won a declamation for a rendition he did about an unicorn so its image brings back fond memories.
