What happened to the congregation I wonder. Now this building DOES have charisma, what a shame it's not being used.. I loved the French movie I saw today Jack, do you enjoy foreign movies?
Great composition, Jack. You know I'm attracted to neglected buildings and I think this one is still in a pretty good shape. Hope someone will take care of it soon.
I, too, hate to see buildings deserted! Especially when many of them have far more "personality" and interest than the newer ones! Terrific reflections and capture as always, Jack! Have a great weekend!
A few of the synagogues in the Twin Cities have been put to good use after the congregation moved into new quarters. One, for example, house a delightful childrens' theatre. Good angle, Jack.
The congregation disbanded in 1986. It was the last synagogue in the city. Most of the members had relocated to the suburbs and eventually joined local communities.

This building is beautiful! Hope someone will take care of it soon!
That's some fine old building going to waste- what a shame- hope someone takes it on soon.

This building looks like it has some potential for a new life! I hope someone with a development idea finds it soon.
What a lovely old building. I love the windows.
I like the reflection. It's too bad this lovely building is not being used.
My guess is that the congregation has relocated to the suburbs. I hope a reuse for the building is found.
Yes, this is truly a wonderful old building. Thanks for featuring it.
I hope they will find a new use for this building...
The paint does look a bit weathered...but, I'm surprised another congregation hasn't moved in. Nice reflection.
Always sad when a building is deserted, especially when it's such a beautyful one..

Congregations, banks, businesses and other institutions move on, only the names engraved over the entrance reminds us of their past.
Nice shot Jack.
Love the details on the windows Jack! I am sure someone will save it.

Hate to see lovely old buildings standing neglected.
What a shame! Do you know if the congregation built a new synagogue or disbanded?
I hope the building gets saved. I would have missed that reflection, wise capture!
That's really a shame. I guess there are not enough congregations to keep all the houses of worship open. :(
I hope it finds a loving new owner.
