Night Skyline
This is another night shot taken the same night as the photo in Sunday's post. I was on the East Hartford riverbank. For other photographers displaying images with reflections, click here.

General Griffin Stedman
When I googled his name to learn more, I came across this interesting piece of research, which was stimulated by the writer's visit to this statue.

Crystal
Crystal is a lawyer with a financial planning and estate planning practice. We have been friends for 18 years. I was paired with Crystal for some trust building exercises at Outward Bound in Colorado. Later, we both rode in an early morning bicycle group back in Hartford. I dropped out when I took a job in Ohio, but Crystal still rides. The biking is over for this year -- too dark in the morning -- but I think I will rejoin next spring.
We ran into each other last weekend in Elizabeth Park.

A Little Something Bakery
Park Road in West Hartford has been improving rapidly in recent years as a destination for small, local retail stores, often food-related. This good storefront bakery is new in the past year.

The Last Circus
Hartford's best alternative art presenter and facility is Real Art Ways. RAW presents independent films -- art, foreign, experimental -- as well as art exhibitions. (I have not seen this movie but I love the poster.)

Hartford's Night Skyline
This is the first night shot I have dared to post. I still have no idea what I am doing.
This photo was taken from a bridge across the Connecticut River, looking back at the Hartford side of the river. We see the Connecticut Convention Center, the Marriott hotel and the Connecticut Science Center, and the Travelers Tower. In the foreground is the amphitheater stage.
A daytime view from the opposite shore is here.
