Mount Vernon

I read recently that George Washington's home on the Potomac, Mount Vernon, is the most copied house in the country.

Here is a Mount Vernon replica located in West Hartford, near Hartford Golf Club.

I wasn't aware of its popularity, but now I'll have to keep my eye out for replicas. It's a beauty, isn't it?

What a lovely little cottage... Yours?

Set in the snow it is stunning and I imagine that the green accessories of summer look quite nice also!

What a pretty scene. I finally made it Mount Vernon this past summer, so I know firsthand what you're talking about. By the by, how did you enjoy your travel photography class? My class wraps up tonight.

It has a lot to desire - the veranda and the symmetry are very appealing.

That's a gorgeous replica. It looks nice in the snow too. I can see why it's so replicated.

I've been a Sox fan for as long as I can remember. Then again, I was 10 months old when Bill Buckner let it go through his legs. It must have been all the more rewarding in 2004 for you. You certainly paid your dues!

When I visited Mount Vernon, it was stifling HOT! I prefer snow! And I wouldn't mind a replica either, it is lovely though I really like Monticello also.

In a general way I enjoy snow pics with contrasting colours, i.e. blue skies, red houses, etc., but in this case this is just perfect! So beautiful, Jack!

I had no idea Mt. Vernon was replicated. This is a lovely scene. I once had the pleasure of taking a boat down the Potomac on a 4th of July to visit Mt. Vernon. It was a fabulous experience.
